Cancer & money.

Is it ok to ask a friend with terminal cancer if she's ok with money? Someone said not to and my gut feeling is that this friend probably needs some money. I am just confused because I do not want the person to feel offended. Do I ask? If yes, how do I ask her if she needs a bit of help. Although, I told her to call me if there's anything I can do.

If she’s short of money, are you able to help her? If not, then don’t ask.

Macmillan can give financial advice and help. Can you have a general discussion in how Macmillan can support her and what services they can offer, including finances.
Macmillan finances

Macmillan can indeed help - I’d say they would openly ask re finances along with other kinds of assistance (I used to do the benefits applications for Macmillan as a job). There are several possible applicable benefits- from a type of PIP, sometimes blue badges/transport allowances…

Thanks so much you all.

Check If she is claiming PIP ( if in uk). Will be eligible. Macmillan probably able to help with this.

I think I'd offer to help her fill in forms abs ask if she's spoken to MacMillian about helping her with her finances.

But by all means offer her money if you can afford to.
