Dry eyes

I went for an earlier optician appt as I was struggling with the screen at work and was told it was due to dry eyes
I tried a spray initially but the optician said it isn't enough and I need drops. I have tried asda and boots but they both make my eyes itch
Has anyone got a recommendation pls

If you have Blepharitis there are drips but also there’s an eye mask you can use (Amazon ) . Basically you heat it up in boiling water , put it in its case and lay with it on your eyes for around 10 minutes, it helps to melt the oils in your eyelids . I can thoroughly recommend 😊

Thealoz Duo is very good - I bought some recently when I had a flare of blepharitis. Larger Boots stores may have it.

I use Hycosan. Was recommended by ophthalmologist. It doesn't have any preservatives in it so you can use it multiple times a day.

Hycosan here too

I’m on optive fusion. Recommended by my ophthalmologist but I get it on prescription from my gp.

Works best when using heat mask over eyes for ten minutes and then wiping the lash line top and bottom with a Muslim cloth rinsed in hot water. That wipes away the microscopic gunk that’s preventing my eyes lubricating themselves properly.

Thealoz Duo definitely although expensive. Cheaper if you buy on Amazon.

I’ve got dry eyes and optician recommended Hycosan Extra and a heated eye mask you just pop in the microwave and then leave on for 10 minutes once a day, it’s really soothing. I’m surprised your optician didn’t recommend drops to you?
