hi

My DS2 is 9mo and is teething and has a cold. He has small spots on his face, they are not disease like but seem to be due to dry and irritated skin. Any suggestions for some miracle cream? We are due to get some photos taken tomorrow and I am desperate.

you near a lush shop? apparently dream cream is good.

My friends dd has v bad eczema and shes tried numerous over the counter and prescribed remedies. When my ds had something similar on his face to your ds2 my friend said that E45 junior cream was one of the best over the counter remedies you could buy. It certainly worked with my ds irritated patch so may be worth a try.

Although creams are great - its best to tackle the teething issue - i'd see a good homeopath or naturopath - otherwise you'll be back to square one when the next lot of teeth come through.

vaseline is always a good bet!

personally i would not put anything on it cos it might just make matters worse. is it not best to leave it alone? dont all babies get a face rash when they are teething? if anything i would use a drop of baby oil to tackle the dry bits, or baby oil gel is apparently really good

My dd had a similar rash to this at that age - we popped to see the GP and were given a huge pot of it - will let you know the name later and the rash dissapeared within a day and never came back !!! Apparently it was a mild form of eczema ! Will find out the name and mail again later tonight

OK - I have found out now - it is called Acqueous cream (probably spelt this wrong-but pronouced this way) - Good Luck !!!
