Herniated disc in neck?

I’ve been in pain for about 3 weeks now. A variety of right arm pain (which I believe to be a trapped nerve), An on and off stiff neck and also pain in my shoulder. Some nights I really struggle to get any sleep and weirdly, sitting makes the nerve pain in my arm a lot worse.

I’ve been prescribed naproxen which hasn’t really done much so now have Zapain, which is cocodamol. It’s not really doing much, but at least it’s something.

I’m waiting for a physio referral and have tried the chiropractor (who said an issue with C4/C5 and a spasm) and have had accupuncture which I think might’ve given some relief.

I’m going to phone the GP again in the morning to see if I can be prescribed something a little stronger to help
Me sleep, but I have two young DCs so can’t be wiped out during the day.

Just googled it and it’s looking more like a herniated disc which sounds horrific. Has anyone had anything similar and can offer me some positives or anything that might give some relief?

Thank you
