Can temperature rise before a period?

I usually run a high-is temperature. Usually in the mornings it's about 36.6/36.7 and it usually rises during the day to about 37 or 37.1/37.2 or 37.3. In the evenings my temperature is a little higher 37.4/37.5/37.6

This evening I found a low grade fever of 37.7/37.8/37.9.
I didn't tske any medicine or paracetamol yet and I am monitoring it to see if it goes down or goes up.

I'm due my period around about Friday and I don't know of the temperature is gone up because of that and hormones or of its something else.

I was e feeling well last month and the month before and I found fevers over 38 both months after my fever. My GP referred me to the hospital for some testing but I am on a waiting list. It's suspected I have a gut condition called diverticulitis. This condition is where the colon develops pockets and the pockets become inflammed and infected. The condition is managed through diet. I was eating out yesterday and I ate a seed-y piece of bread and now I don't know if that has set something off in me. Aside from the low grade fever, I feel fine. I don't have any pain or cramps right now.

I am monitoring the low grade fever to see what way it goes. If it goes beyond 38 I will probably need to go back to the doctor.

Yes, it's normal for your body temp to go up by 1 degree before your period starts
