It has been present for a few months although it seems to have got a bit darker very recently.

Out

PossiblyPertunia · 11/09/2021 21:26

I think this needs to be looked at ASAP.

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 11/09/2021 21:26

I'd go and show that to a professional type medico in fairly short order tbh.

marmiteloversunite · 11/09/2021 21:27

I would definitely get it checked especially as it has changed colour and looks a bit crusty.

HPmagic · 11/09/2021 21:29

It wasn't a mole it just appeared one day and I assumed cherry angioma but it has changed.

HPmagic · 11/09/2021 21:30

Thank you for your response, it does not bleed or anything and is very smooth (no crustiness)

Definitely GP as soon as you can. I'm the meantime if you're near a Boots/pharmacy that's open tomorrow go in and ask them to take a look.

Tanfastic · 11/09/2021 21:36

I would definitely get this looked at.

Haggisfish3 · 11/09/2021 21:37

Uneven edges, changes in appearance... absolutely needs checking!

lljkk · 12/09/2021 08:59

let us know what you find out? Probably nothing to worry about.

HPmagic · 12/09/2021 09:28

@lljkk I hope so, I'm 25 weeks pregnant with Dc2 so I have got myself all worked up about it now.

SpiedPiper · 12/09/2021 10:03

There are lots of non sinister things it will hopefully be. Just definitely worth checking out ASAP to be sure. I’ve had a horrible looking mole removed and it turned out just to be ‘atypical’ but never worth taking the chance obviously. Sending you best wishes. It’s nerve wracking things like this.

HungrySausage · 12/09/2021 10:08

It is quite common for moles to change/get darker during pregnancy, but this one still needs checking out because of its uneven edges etc. Better to be safe with a quick check. Hope all is okay.

lljkk · 12/09/2021 11:27

If you ever watch The skin Doctor, she's constantly removing ugly looking mole type things. She won't touch anything cancerous.
Reminder how most such growths are benign.

Haggisfish3 · 12/09/2021 14:13

The fact you’re pregnant is more reassuring. I got loads more moles/freckles as your placenta makes melanin.

HPmagic · 13/09/2021 11:46

Spoke to the Gp on the phone this morning and sent the Picture on. She is referring me under the 2 week pathway to Dermatology. Pending the Waiting List due to COVID.

SpiedPiper · 13/09/2021 16:59

Well done OP. They (should) always refer via 2 week pathway for anything like this so don’t be alarmed. Hope you’re feeling calmer for speaking to the GP and that your derm appt comes through nice ans quickly

Pleasepod · 16/09/2021 17:02

Hope you are doing okay OP Smile
