Please help me through my anxiety - it is becoming all consuming. I need to have an operation to drain a perianal abscess and remove a fistula soon. I am besides myself and the more I google the worse it is. I know it’s a gruesome thing and one I can’t talk about in real life, hence the name change. Maybe it’s not that rare - it’s not a topic to casually chat about! Has anyone had one and found the treatment ok or even better not as bad as the pain of the condition?
