Could this be tennis elbow

I've had a painful right arm for a few months now. It seems to be from the elbow going up but sometimes it can go numb at night. It can be an dull ache/heavy pain to a shooting pain when moved suddenly. I use a computer daily at work and I feel like that's making it worse.

Does it sound like tennis elbow and if it is, what would help? Could GP do anything?

Does it hurt when you grip things?

No it doesn't really hurt when I grip things

Probably best to see a physio. Tennis elbow can take a while to heal so try and get it diagnosed as soon as possible. I found Chinese acupuncture help mine heal

Thanks @CatsOperatingInGangs
Would I need a referral from gp for physio or acupuncture?

Depends how good your GP is. I couldn’t face faffing with a telephone GP appointment etc so I paid for acupuncture with a local Chinese doctor who is excellent.
