Have had a bit of a lousy year health-wise, culminating in the last 3 or 4 weeks where i've just been constantly low grade poorly. Not a real snorter of a cough or cold or whatever, just mild symptoms of each, plus septic tonsils on and off and also swollen glands. But, have gone from doing 3 circuit training classes a week plus a couple of sessions of swimming, to walking up the stairs and feeling as though i need to lie down, really! legs aching and just exhausted. as i am carer for my disabled dh and also pretty much single handedly look after my very lively 2 year old ds, haven't been able to take the time to recuperate at all. Guess I'm pretty run down, and perhaps need a tonic (and sadly not the sort you put gin in! Magic sleep in a bottle would be good!) So, what can you recommend?

I don't know about tonics but have your tried taking echinacea (sp?) regularly? I find that it really builds my immune system up and wards of colds and bugs. I would def recommend taking a couple of tablets a day along with a high dose vitamin C and some zinc.

Hope you feel better soon. It is horrible when you can't find time to rest and recuperate.

thanks, didn't realise you could get it in tablet form, have only ever seen it as a tincture. Do you take it all the time?
