ive been to see a physio about my knee and he said when i fell (about 6 months ago) that i torn my tendon, ligiment and cartlidge in my knee but because i didnt do anything about it they have healed wrong around my knee cap which has moved so he said i might need surgery to correct it.

My DH has had some of the cartilage removed from both of his knees this year.
He had them done thru keyhole surgery. One was done as a day surgery, he had to be there at 7.30am and I picked him up at about 3.00. The other was done overnight, I dropped him off at 3.00 and FIL picked him up at 11.30 next morning.
I can't comment on how much it hurts except to say he had two lots of painkillers and used them all.
He was supposed to be off work for 2 weeks both times but went back after 3 days first time and 4 days second time - but that's him all over!
With his left knee he wasn't allowed to drive for 3 weeks and it's 6 weeks with his right knee.
He's not allowed to kneel down for 3 months!

HTH - tho it's not exactly the same situation. Hope you get sorted soon
