Topamax

I've started getting migraines again after many years free. Previously been on other medications for them but they didn't really work.

Topamax was mentioned a few years ago but the migraines suddenly disappeared and I didn't need it. Can a GP prescribed the drug or is it a neurologist only?

I was discharged from neurology care a few months back (epilepsy) so don't feel like going back again!

Thanks

I have it prescribed by my GP. Never been to a neurologist.
