Hive, ulcers, cold sores, my mouth basically exploded...

Hi ladies, I pasted yesterday or the day before, losing track of time...., my 2.5 DD had hives that with antihistamine cream went away only to appear again today, our GP will see her shortly, she again is absolutely healthy except the hives. Me, on the other hand - not dealing well at all. I always had ulcers 1 or 2 if I get a cold or too much stress but this is on a whole new level - will see my gp today, waiting for a call, but I thought some of you might know what the hell is this and what to do. I'm taking Benadryl capsules plus pastilles plus Lipsore cream plus Iglu, tried even propolis - nothing seems to help - can't talk properly, can't eat almost anything, have the same blister like hives like my DD on my palate but couldn't take pics of them... basically feels like every single taste bud on my thong and around has a tiny ulcer... just be aware - pics are extremely awful and grotesque and I apologies in advance - they really are horrible...

Hand foot and mouth?

grannybee55 · 07/09/2021 17:01

I'm not sure about hives but I suffer badly with ulcers when I'm stressed or unwell. Mouthwash helps. Home Bargains do a cheaper version of Corsadyl that cleans the mouth and reduces pain a bit. Hope you feel better soon, they are miserable.

HemanOrSheRa · 07/09/2021 17:03

Yep I say hand, foot and mouth too. Apart from a skin rash it causes mouth ulcers.

jeffersonsam · 08/09/2021 14:04

My small suggestion is try some natural remedies for mouth ulcers. It may be gives you some good results.

Has your GP ruled out primary herpes OP? (Herpetic gingivostomatitis). That is very similar to your symptoms but would need a systemic antiviral -acyclovir tablets or suspension prescribing.

BlackIsQueen · 10/09/2021 15:31

Can you take your dd with you to hospital, how old is she? You really need to do what the doctor said, mate

An update ladies - had thrush with combination of some viral ulcers (which I have in me, I was born with it) plus hives and cold sores on the lips - reason... stress... I freaked out because my daughter hives, we just got back from a holiday and took our dogs back from the kennel (which is totally great, not their fault...), and one of them, my 14 years old dog, my lovely girl who always found a way to offer a compassion even when I was in rage... had to put her down day before yesterday - she completely lost movement in both back her legs, can't walk, started dedicating herself and I could tell she was embarrassed as hell which was killing me.. so stress. I'm better, taking nystatin plus blistex relief cream and yesterday ate my first solid food. So yeay, I'm better.. I know what most people will say - it's a dog, thank god that your kids are fine and I do, but it's not just a dog, it's my Tara...
