Pfizer vaccine, blood clots?

Hi, I have a lot of anxiety over the covid vaccine, I had my second jab Monday.
When I had my first jab I had a lot of anxiety and developed palpitations and the doctor said it was unlikely to be anything serious, sure enough it did go away...
Now I had my second job, I've developed headaches (not to the point that pain killers don't work) and I can move my neck fine, I'm not sure if the headaches have to do with something else that's going on with me at the moment! But I just can't shake that anxious feeling of what if?
How likely is it for Pfizer to cause those dangerous blood clots?

Headaches are a side effect. I was like you and worried and just made myself feel ill but all was fine. You know yourself best so if in doubt, get checked out :)

Sorry posted to soon. The risk is low but for an anxious brain, it's hard to take in, i understand that. I spoke to a lovely lady who must have been a Dr of sorts as she knew when I said I had palpations, asked if I had had a tape and explained that sometimes palpations happen as of an electrical current in the body. She then said that the risk of blood clots was small but just as the jab was being given on such a large scale, it appeared higher. She said to me I would be already and I think that was all I needed to hear from a professional that did not brush my worries off.

Headaches are a very common side effect. It'll go X

I've got a blood clotting disorder and Pfizer has been cleared for me.

How long did yours last? I've had mine since Tuesday on & off, I'm a bit of a worrier so the media definitely doesn't help! Because I have issues atm that are a bit scary however started before the vaccine then spoke to a pharmacist she told me why would I get the vaccine when I have these problems and that the vaccine won't help my situation, so I guess it sort of fed my worries more :(

Stop googling symptoms, you're fine and it's health anxiety talking

Geamhradh · 04/09/2021 13:44

If you want to set your mind at rest, call the NHS number.
Headaches are common though. I was fine after my first jab yet had the worst migraine like headache ever after my second.

Mine was for two to three days and not constant

Yeah that's what's worrying me, but I'm going through health problems atm however the headache did start two days after vaccine so I just don't know :/

I had my vaccine on Monday too and I was also very anxious. I developed a headache on one side of my head around my eye area on Monday night which responded to painkillers and it was just a mild ache all over on Tuesday.
Have you taken painkillers for it? Have they had any effect at all?
I'm guessing if you are very anxious that could also be causing a headache and keeping it going.
