Dogs keep sniffing one knee

So as it says above, dogs keep sniffing my left knee specifically. I do have some 'dodginess' there eg slight pain and swollen but doctors haven't got to the bottom of it....
I should add this isn't just my dog; any dog I get close to obsessively smells that knee specifically!
Wondering if I should go back to the doctors but it's no more problematic than it has been for several years and not sure 'dogs keep sniffing my knee' is a valid reason? ;)
Advice appreciated!

Have you been using pain relief gel or something like that? If so they could be smelling that.

Nope. Nothing like that

If it was just one dog I'd ignore but it's every dog you meet? I think that's worth an appointment. You say your doctor hasn't got to the bottom of it yet anyway so you could book it as a follow up appt and mention the dog thing. Dogs are very perceptive!

I would go and see a doctor. I know it may sound barmy but they are very clever and have a good sense of smell

Yup I’d go to the doc too. I’d probably tell him it was sore though. Rather than admit you’re frightened that dogs are smelling infection or worse!
