Sounds scary. DS has never had croup thank God.

Rotten luck Megalegs, have never experienced it at close hand but know how scary it can sound. Hope you get a chance to relax and celebrate belatedly

Had family around yesterday and had cake and pressies. DS3 creid beacuse I wouldn't let him go out and ride his bike!!

The ward filled with babies and toddlers from about 10pm onwards, all with bronchilitis and croup like conditions. Nurses were fab, so patient considering they were run off their feet.

My only complaint was that they put the poorly toddler who cried all night next to use rather than the teenage gilr who'd downed a bottle of JAck Daniels!!

I saw her yesterday morning, sitting up in bed eating toast looking remarkably chipper. Would they have pumped her stomach do you think? That amount of alcohol must surely be pretty near lethal in a 14 year old.

DS1,2 and 3 all had a croupy type cough two years ago, sitting in the steamy bathroom helped and it passed in a day or two. This was different though, had no idea ot could be so bad. DS3 is such a solid healthy chap too but today he looks terrible, pale and dark circles around his eyes. Breathing is less raspy today and cough sounds more productive (for want of a better phrase) and less seal like.

Not sure Fiofio but I'd assume so, she was in the adolescent ward along the corridor.

He is still looking pale and wan and barking again, but he is up and about. Hungry too so better get him something soothing.

my ds has had croup 15 times in the last 2 years, it is very scarey 13 times hes ended in hosp on nebs, and needing steroids everytime to shift it. steam is menat to help but dont help my ds hes 3. my dd has had it once but my ds thinks getting croup is his hobby. just waiting for him to get his nxt lot.

hope ur ds is better soon, the croup cough is normally at its worst day 2-3 then the croup cough should be gone around day 5 and left with a chesty type cough.
