Uvular necrosis advice

I had day surgery yesterday under general anaesthetic and came home with a very sore throat. This morning my throat is still tender but now my uvula (the little flap of skin between your tonsils) has turned white at the tip and it feels and looks horrible. I searched the internet and found I have uvular necrosis which says it will die and fall off Sad

Has anyone had this trauma after surgery?

What should I do? Go to the GP or wait and see. I don't really feel like going out yet, the internet states it will resolve itself in 4-7 days.

Please seek medical advice from a doctor. Could you Zoom your GP? Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks. Yes I'm not sure they do zoom calls at our surgery but I can book a phone call. Just hoping for reassurance that it will be ok.

Did the hospital that did the surgery not give you a number to ring if anything went wrong?

I had this after hall bladder surgery. White tip (which turned dark) leading to redness before the healthy tissue where it attached to the throat. It was very sore for several weeks but did resolve itself and has had no lasting damage. I did gargle with corsadyl mouthwash daily
