how about...

he takes the girls out, gets milk and bread while he's out and gives you a day on your own in the house?

Have a bath
Go back to bed
MN
Watch trashy tv

Misdee · 02/12/2007 11:30

Oh you poor things! I think you do get a bit stir-crazy when you're both unwell and the weather is crap, and you've both been through so so much! Can you go an have a nice bath while he takes care of the girls, and then swap later so he a peaceful bath/appropriate relaxation too?

Or am I being too soft?

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 02/12/2007 11:52

this may sound silly but my new tactic to get out of a bad mood is to put on some cheesy cheer up music. see here for some inspiration

noddyholder · 02/12/2007 11:56

steroid rage misdee!V common with post transplant prednisolone use Is he on it?

Misdee · 02/12/2007 13:38

oh is that what it is NH. yes he is on that steroid. dd1 sometimes has to take it as well after asthma attacks and it makes her quite cranky, i thought that was because she was tired.

Sounds like a bit of both really, the feeling unwell is just adding to it isn't it? I'm not familiar with transplants, is he on steriods for life or a reducing dose?

Misdee · 02/12/2007 13:45

for life. he is on a low dose, if he goes into rejection then they may be increased.

3Ddonut · 02/12/2007 14:11

I suppose then he will learn to live with his mood swings?!! May be worth having a chat with doc?

noddyholder · 02/12/2007 15:50

There is so much expectation of a perfect life after transplant that sometimes you need time to adjust to the fact that it is the same old life with the same old everyday stuff to deal with It is hard to be grateful every day It will take a while to settle down Hang in there you have been a star for him xx

anorak · 02/12/2007 15:55

Yes it's easy to be the perfect loving couple when life is in the balance but you have to deal with normality now and there are bound to be times when you get on each other's nerves. You are allowed to have off days you know. Noddy is right.
