Painful foot

Has anyone had pain on the bottom of the foot close to the heel on the inner side? I have had this for weeks now and I'm in agony first thing in the mornings, so much so that I can't put my foot down to walk, I have tried most pain killers including oramorph which is prescribed to me for a separate issue I have, none of them are helping, the only one that helps is nurofen which I am not supposed to be taking due to a stomach ulcer over 20 years ago. I have a dr appointment booked for 3weeks time which will be a telephone consultation, I can't get one before then so I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what it could be and any suggestions on easing the pain. I have nothing hurt it or bruised it and have no lumps or bumps.

Plantar fasciitis maybe? Ruddy painful can last for ages... Cures can be variable. Stretching exercises for feet and insoles can help

Sounds like plantar fasciitis - perhaps try and find a sports physio or sports massage therapist. You need to stretch it and perhaps roll your foot on a golf ball, spikey ball, cold can to get some relief. If you’re lucky it might respond to wearing shoes with a small heel rather than going barefoot as this stretches the fascia less.

Thanks forest and fluff, I have googled pf and yes that sounds exactly what I have, I just hope it goes away soon.
