Hi all, hoping for experiences. I've had a laser eye surgery consultation today with Optical Express.
Recommendation is I'm a good candidate but would need LASEK, not LASIK, as my cornea is on the borderline of being too thin to cut a flap. They also told me they wouldn't do it without the additional, and usually optional, more detailed iDesign prescription which obviously adds cost - due to pupil size and risk of glare/halo from lights.
I understand the LASEK recovery is slower and potentially more painful but same results expected.
Does anyone have experience of LASEK particularly they would share with me? And cost, if you were willing. Quote is about £4000 so at the higher end of what I expected. Good and bad experiences welcome, it's a big decision and I feel a bit deflated it's not the simpler LASIK and a bit more costly than I expected.
