I noticed a small bump had appeared on my lower leg (next to shin bone) on Saturday evening. By Sunday it had grown to a sizeable lump. I can’t think of an injury I’ve had that would have caused this. I had been at the beach earlier that day but don’t recall being bitten and the area isn’t red or itchy.
I’m waiting for GP to get back to me but my health anxiety is proving hard to keep in check. I’ve had a number of other health concerns over the past 18 months and I’m struggling to cope with something else. I’ve been on the 2 week wait twice since my health issues started with other things that thankfully turned out to be nothing. I constantly have this lingering doubt that I have something terrible going on.
I’m trying to console myself with the fact the lump is painful and appears mobile but playing the waiting game is so hard.
