Period for 3 weeks

As the thread says I've been on my period for three weeks now. I had my Depo Provera contraception shot for the first time three months ago after having a baby and my period went away for the first two months. Now I've been on my period for three weeks. The first week and a half was heavy and it's been non stop spitting since then. When baby was first born 4 months ago I was getting pelvic pains and the drs suggested it might have been endometriosis but because of my recovery I never took the sample test. I was prescribed a course of antibiotics and my symptoms went away so I left that. I've been fine for weeks and weeks. Just up until now getting this frustratingly long period. I've read it could be a side effect has anyone else had a similar experience?

okay I've done super quick research and apparently endometriosis is supposed to be extremely painful. I don't have any pain at all so reckon it's to do with the depo.

Probably, but definitely worth a mention to the GP.
