Hi, for the last 48 hours I've been hot one minute then shivering, bad stomach cramps, headache, sinus pain, racing heart, so tired, my hands and legs are sore to touch with intermittent shooting pains. I've had D&V once. No appetite. Feel sick and dizzy. I don't know what this could be. Should I wait it out or go to the GP? I feel I'm being a terrible mum to my baby laid in bed all day unable to do much. Thank you.✨

Do you have children that go to nursery? There's a very similar bug going the rounds at nursery here.

Do you have any LFT tests you can do? 111 might be able to give you some advice?

Imnewhere1991 · 15/08/2021 18:38

Thank you @StarDrawers for replying. No I don't but I have been to several playgroups with my son.
I do, I'll do one now I think. I keep sleeping thinking I'll feel better when I wake but it isn't shifting yet. Thank you again🌸

Coming down with some virus, possibly covid? Maybe get tested?
Can you get someone to help with baby? For time being drink plenty of fluids so you don't get dehydrated.

We've just had 48 hour D and V, baby caught it somewhere. It's deffo doing the rounds.

My body felt like I had been hit by a train, so achey, every joint hurt.

Keep as hydrated as you can without overloading and let baby watch TV as much as you need.

Recover soon.

Food poisoning? Sounds like I was when I had campylobacter.

Imnewhere1991 · 15/08/2021 18:43

Thank you @illuyankas and @Wale90

Thank you both for replying.
Ah perhaps it is a bug..about to put my son to bed then I'll do a covid test just to be sure.

🌸🌸 Thank you again

You need a covid test. Even if you don't think its covid you won't get near a GP without a negative PCR.

LEMtheoriginal · 15/08/2021 18:43

Sounds like how i felt with covid. Even my fingers and toes hurt

TheVolturi · 15/08/2021 18:43

We had stomach bug end of May. I felt so sore all over and felt really tearful, the stomach cramps were agony! Was gone in 24hrs though. Paracetamol helped.

Northernsoullover · 15/08/2021 18:44

Cross post! Hope you feel better soon

Imnewhere1991 · 15/08/2021 18:44

@SarahJinx I wondered about food poisoning. The stomach cramps were awful... But only.one bout of D&V...and so many other symptoms alongside. Thank you for.replying 🌸

@Northernsoullover thank you 🌸 that's a good point, didn't think of that 🙈

@Imnewhere1991

When I had it, I was sent to a&e in lots of pain with rolling tummy cramps, with high temp, racing heart and blood in urine. I’d had one bout of d&v two night earlier followed by horrendous head, aching limbs and exhaustion. Once in hospital the ‘d’ started again and didn’t stop for four days. I was stunned when it was fp.

Getting a Covid test is sensible too. Hope you feel better soon, get seen ASAP if not x

"everything hurts" often is a symptom of flu?

But obviously take a covid test first and foremost
