Cough no other symptoms

I have a cough but no cold
Started with feeling like i needed to clear my throat and a raspy voice, this then developed in to a cough which sometimes feels dry but other times like its not .
I have had a covid pcr which came back negative along with several lvt that are also negative.
No cold symptoms appeared like a runny nose and just sneezed maybe 3/4 times
Had this now for 5 days cough started day 2 , worse day 3 but Got better day 4 and although not gone a lot better today.
I have slight sore throat but more from coughing I think , no high temp although one day was a little sweaty.
Never had just a cough and normally caused by a cold , any idea what it could be or how i can treat it.
I don't have asthma or allergies
Currently just having lozenges and drinking water/ warm drinks
Off work as even with a negative pcr no one wants anyone in coughing

Guess im asking what can cause just a cough with no other symptoms
Pcr done on day 3 of symptoms , lvt done on day 1 and had also done one couple days before as part of my 2 a week.
Dh had a bad cold last week which also was negative for 2 x pcr but he had streaming nose , eyes , sweats and very slight cOugh, whereas mine is mainly just a cough

Yes you can, my DS currently has a cough, has had it for a good week now. Otherwise he’s fine.

Did you do A test ?
