Using CBD oil for pain relief

Is there anyone who takes CBD oil for pain relief? I have severe nerve pain in my wrists, take naproxen and paracetamol, but at times the pain is severe! Someone suggested CBD oil, but I’m not convinced it’s not all a scam.

My DS was diagnosed with chronic pain and given gabapentin. Unfortunately he had an adverse reaction to it and was rushed to hospital unconscious. He had to come off it and there wasn’t really anything else to help him. I put him on CBD oil and saw a difference straight away. After missing nearly 9 months of college, her was back full time after about 3 weeks on CBD. I know it doesn’t work for everyone but it transformed his life.

Personally I find CBD oil does nothing.

I have MS, and have tried CBD, it gave me headaches unfortunately.

My SIL also has MS - she uses actual cannabis for her pain, apparently it works a treat!

Cbd oil in itself does nothing it's a placebo effect unless it has some form of thc in it thc does help with pain etc , cbd oil by itself does not.

CBD helped my DD immensely before she was diagnosed with her condition. Amazing stuff and well worth every penny

That's not true - unlike e.g. homeopathic 'remedies' which have nothing in them and can only work via placebo, CBD is an actual active ingredient which has been shown to affect the human body. Jury still out whether it is as effective as it is touted to be, but there have been various promising (genuine scientfic, not woo bullshit) trials.

From a personal perspective, my partner takes it for stress and anxiety and it has a noticeable effect - but he is pretty suggestible, so it could be the placebo effect kicking in for him!
