Hi, I really would appreciate some opinions.
My mum had a salmon in January ofer 8 months ago which to my knowledge really seemed off. She started developing a rash hives and a facial swelling the following day she straight away went to the a and e which prescribed her antihistamines. However, her persistent dry cough and wheezing remained and was awful for a couple of months to the point she couldn’t lie down. Drs diagnosed her with several things such as heart failure which I took her to a private clinic (echo cardio gram) and said the heart was fine, so the dr then said it is asthma
we then went for breathing test and it turned out not be asthma as her lung diction was ok. In January and in May she also developed itchy rash on her lower leg chin and ankles. We did an allergy test and her immunoglobulin was slightly raised but not concerning high however her eosophills which is her white bloods was 1. Something in January when it all happened but then reduced to 0.6 which is still high in May.
She did a CT scan which showed a spot on the lung of 6mm. She still wheezes every night or whenever she goes outside.. her coughing is not as bad.
I read on Sarcoidosis and it seems so similar. She’s been having prednisolone a few times on and off which helped with the cough and wheezing but always came back as soon as she is off them..
Any opinions would greatly be appreciated.
