Hi all. Has anyone who's taken this who are prone to migraines, gone on to suffer migraines because of this pill? And did you get used to the side effects pretty quickly? (migraines wore off).

I can go months without a migraine, and I know my tiggers. But it seems like I could suffer as I had one the other day. I can't take the estrogen forms.

I suffer with migraines and took this for a number of years because it doesn't have the same links to migraines that the combined pill does. The combined pill definitely triggered me but this did not, I still suffered from the usual migraines though ... it just didn't get any worse.

@GlamourSpider thank you for that. That's good you're better on this one. It might not have been from the pill, sometimes they can be random so...

Thank you again.

@GlamourSpider I'm feeling quite angry and I'm wondering if it's a side effect. I've taken it for 15 days now. Should it wear off soon?

Could be. I didn't have it as a side effect but can't remember the full list as I took it 6+yrs ago. I imagine it could effect peeps differently.

@GlamourSpider hi there! Hope you're good.

Fortunately I haven't suffered with any more migraines but my periods have changed. I've gone from a clockwork 4 days to 8 days and still ongoing. Do you know how long that's likely to last, could it be an ongoing thing for as long as I take the pill?

I'm in a new relationship and it's going so well but we're at the stage where we're wanting sex all the time! I am looking into getting sterilised but that could take a while, so I'm going to have to put up with the pill for a bit. I used to have the depo injections but it affected my bone density and I had the implant years ago and it made me bleed for months. I don't fancy the coil. I suppose I could try the non hormonal coil. I can't take estrogen methods due to health conditions.

Thank you.

Hey, @nolovelost glad to hear the migraines have stopped. I took mine without a break so never had a period, in the 10yrs(ish) that I was on it I had a day or two where I was spotting maybe 5 or 6 times otherwise nothing...hope it resolves for you.

Hi, thank you for the reply.

Yes that's what I'm doing so maybe next month will be different. Although if I don't have a period next month I'll probably think that I'm pregnant!

Thank you.
