Best Insect bite cream?

I keep getting bitten by mostquitos and horse flies abs react quite badly, particularly with horse flies. Antisan doesn't do anything, and I end up using hydrocortisone cream which the doctor gave me which I don't like doing too regularly.
Anyone any recommendations of a magic cream which stops the swelling and itching?!

I got this recently and it did a great job on a horsefly bite. I usually react really badly and no cream ever touches it.

Jungle Formula Bite Spray is brilliant. As is sudocrem. Don't forget an antihistamine if you're having allergic reactions to the bites.

Following. I've been bitten by horseflies 3 times in the last couple of weeks, having never been bitten by them before. Terrible itching and swelling! Will definitely try Eurax.

Hydrocortisone is fine for use with bites.

You can use Antishan with hydrocortisone.

Eurax. Or take an anti-histamine.

Thanks everyone, great tips. I'll try Eurex next and the Superdrug one , I'm currently using hydrocortisone mixed with antisan but hasn't helped at all 🤷‍♀️

The only thing i've found that helps with mosquito bites (and i react badly too) is Deep Relief gel.
It's an ibuprofen gel with menthol - the ibuprofen is an anti inflammatory and painkiller while the menthol cools the area down.
You only need a tiny dab of the gel on the bite and you just dab it on, don't rub it in.
But a warning -- it may not suit anyone with sensitive skin and i wouldn't put it on the face. But for arms, legs, feet and hands it's the only thing that works for me.

Tiger balm makes the bite go cold and stop itching. Thai lady put it on me when I got awful bites in Bangkok 18yrs ago, never looked back. It's in Boots nowadays.

If you don’t have a blister, put a hot hairdryer on the bite. It will feel like it’s burning then stop. It takes itch out for 4 hours ish… same thing as the back of a hot teaspoon on bite. The heat disperses the histamine which causes the itch

My friend really rates the boots own brand one. She lives in Australia and when anyone visits she asks them to take it over!

And make sure you take piriton tablets 6x day (every 4 hours ) for at least 3 days afterwards ( the once a day anti histamine tablets are not strong enough)

Antihistamine tablets. I have used a this and cream but it contains, or used to.contain lanolin, which I am allergic to and made them.worse.

Hydrocortisone and take an oral antihistamine. I get ridiculous reactions to bites and take antihistamines from spring until the end of summer.

Benadryl itch stop is also good but I've only been able to get it in the US.

Also use a bug spray, no perfumed body lotion / sun cream / perfumes etc.
