It’s happened - I’ve gone down!

Toddler DS sent home from nursery on Friday after vomiting, but otherwise seemed okay. We had an awesome weekend, he was well behaved and delightful to be around, though we can’t send him in tomorrow as his stomach is obviously not right.

I’ve been so careful with antibac and hand washing! DH started feeling bad at 5pm, so I got him some bits and sent him off to bed. To be fair, he’s changed all nappies to protect me from the bug as I’m pregnant.

I’ve just started vomiting myself! I’m 21 weeks and have no idea how we can take care of a hyperactive toddler tomorrow!

He doesn’t sit still or watch tv, our only option is to normally take him out - any suggestions on how to cope?!

Ooh you poor thing! Have you got a garden?

LemonLemonLemon · 02/08/2021 00:11

@trunumber yes we do. He does like filling containers with water actually, will keep this in mind for tomorrow!

Maybe some sports games - like throwing something and having him run to collect it? As much physical stuff as you can in the garden to wear him out. Then take turns doing a couple of hours each so you both get time to rest too.

Cbeebies for a day so you can rest and rehydrate. Let him play in the bath while you sit on the floor. Sticker books. Set up an obstacle race in the garden. Duplo. Do whatever you did during lockdowns again. Hope you feel better soon.

@RumblyMumbly you’ve no idea how much I wish he would watch cebeebies, but nothing on TV interests him Sad

Thanks both for the other ideas though!
I’ve only gotten worse since I posted!

Oh dear, hopefully your body will have it all out soon and recovery will be swift. Would he play games on the cbeebies app?

He could make a pasta necklace on a string. Make a potion in the garden with flour / water etc in a pan?

If he's active would he follow a Joe Wicks or boogie beebies programme? or a GoNoodle on Youtube
