Breast lump

I have a hard lump on my left bra line so worried . Had a biopsy the doctor said to me dont lose any sleep dosent look like breast cancer but just to be on the safe side . After the biospy it seems to of got bigger . I called the hospital and they told me i will get my results in 3 weeks im so worried about it

I don't think the doctor would have said that unless he was 99% sure.

I've had breast cancer and the doctor told me she was 90% sure it was cancer from the scan and mammogram but the biopsy would tell for sure.

Im so sorry to hear of your breast cancer i have never found a lump before thank you for your reassurance and i hope you have or will recover it is so scary sending hugs and prayers x

I'm fine @Carmate45. Tnis was two years ago, all clear now. I was just trying to help you believe in your doctor's reassurance. I'm sure you will be fine, meanwhile try and keep busy to take your mind off it until you get the results.

@Carmate45 didn’t want to read and run - I had a lump in 2019 and was terrified but it turned out benign, the doctor also sent me to be in safe side but it was scary so I know how you feel. Try to distract yourself as much as possible and forget about it even though it will keep coming back. I honestly don’t think the doctor would have said that if they thought it could be cancer, they are so careful these days because of litigation

If it's hard and "mobile" (can you kind of move it around a little under your fingers?) then it is probably a benign cyst, commonly known as a fibroadenoma. I have one of those, very annoying (gets larger and very tender around my period).

The wait was awful OP, I know how you feel, but as others have said your doctor knows what a cancerous lump feels like so if they said they think it's unlikely, I'm sure you'll be fine

Try to distract yourself, look after yourself and just be gentle on yourself. It's an understandably difficult time but hopefully in a few weeks you'll be clear
