Has anyone's child had whooping cough despite being immunised

DD has what we thought may be whooping cough, doctor agreed and is treating her for that but her immunisations are all up to date so how is it possible (haven't spoken to Dr myself and DH didn't ask!)

Not so sure how it is possible but presumably the immunisation does not offer 100% protection (don't think any of them do in fact)

Hope she gets better soon.
