Looks like it could be. Does it feel like a hot wire brush on your skin? Mine started like that. No other symptoms to begin with. Only ever got as bad as feeling a bit "off". Send this pic to your gp?

I get a rash like that when it's warm. I honestly wouldn't worry too much, just keep an eye on it.

Yes shingles is painful. It’s a nerve issue. Not so much a rash issue.

Keep an eye on it. You can use some hydrocortisone cream on it. If you get any pain or it gets worse try to see a doctor.

Molluscum?

I had diagnosed shingles. You're right it's just on one side but mine was stomach/ thigh area. Mine was both itchy and painful! A pharmacist will tell you. There'll be one open now still.

If you go to a pharmacy you’ll also be able to pick up something for the itching.

Mine felt like insect bites

It would be worth seeing a doctor sooner rather than later just in case it is shingles as it's important to get anti viral medication as soon as possible. My daughter had shingles, no pain and only very mild itching.

I've got shingles right now and I feel (and felt before the rash) like my arm is broken, the pain is so deep and intense. When the rash came out, it was horrible burning pain and electric shock type feelings all down my arm and across my chest and shoulder. But before the broken arm feeling, I had a patch of skin on my arm that just felt weird and far too sensitive for about three days.
