I noticed this mole on my leg a few weeks ago had some dark patches on it. I assumed I had somehow cut it and thought nothing of it. I then noticed again yesterday that it's still dark. Has a bit of a fiddle with it and it started bleeding.

I am now panicking it might be a nodular melanoma. I do probably have a bit of health anxiety but what do you think?

Have phones doctors but they can't fit me in until next week.

It's only tiny probably about 5mm, I do have quite a few moles, I'm fair but do tan.

any advice would be helpful.

Thank you

I had one that looks a bit similar and grew a lot when I was pregnant. The GP had a quick look and said it was fine. Hopefully yours is as straightforward but it's really good you're getting it checked x

I had something similar come up on my face. I have other moles but this was dark, itchy and bled easily. I saw a nurse practitioner at the surgery and she was brilliant. Said it was a wart, and was harmless. I picked at it and it healed smaller, and has now completely gone. It did take a few weeks though. So try not to worry, and get it looked at.

My husband had something similar recently. Doctor sent him to Dermatology and they said it was actually a blood vessel and removed it as it would be prone to bleeding.

@annacondom @Ginsmything

Thanks so much both. Feeling less stressed now.

I have one that looks a bit like that too that I also had checked as it changed whilst I was pregnant. Doctor said it's fine but for peace of mind for me told me to take a picture of it and take one each month for a few months to ensure it wasn't changing again.

Still get it checked out just to be sure but hopefully it'll be harmless Smile

Yes it does, but easily removed. Pop into theGP.
