Painful sex 8 weeks after normal birth

I had a normal birth, no stitches , tears etc but we have now been "active" again on several occasions and its still so sore. Could i have internal damage that i don't know about? or could it just be that this time round things are taking a little longer? Getting very upset about it as i didn't have this with the others. Could understand it if i'd had stitches or graze etc

I'm still sore too! Although I did have a fair few stitches. I still feel 'bruised' 9 weeks on.

Are you, ahem, wet enough? If you are bf'ing it can affect vaginal secretions.

Give yourself some time to heal. 8 weeks isn't very long. My poor DH waited months! . Although I did have stitches! If you are still sore after a few more weeks, ask your GP or practice nurse to examine you. You could even ask a family planning clinic doctor to examine you if you prefer. Please try not to worry though I am sure it will be fine.

I had thought about getting some ky!! It feels fine going in but its the outward motion that hurts - like everything is being pulled out! Could i have prolapsed inside and not know?

8 weeks is not long at all really. I had my DD 13 months ago, and was examined internally today and it was STILL a bit sore. I had terrible stitches though. But I would think you can give yourself a bit longer. The gynaecologist recommended KY to me!!
