Will dentist judge me

I’ve had a terrible phobia of the dentist for years, I’ve not been in years, I need two teeth removed but I’m far too scared and now even more scared that they will judge me for my teeth ☹️

I have a bad dentist phobia. You could book in before your dentist appointment with a hygienist who will make your teeth really clean and also give you a bit of practice. I found this a good step. I do sympathise.

There have been dentists/ hygienists commenting on threads before and all of the ones I’ve read have said they understand peoples fear, never judge and that they just want to help the person. Getting it sorted is the most important thing, make that first step and call. Just make sure you let them know how phobic you are as they may need to book extra time. I hope it’s not too bad for you when you go.

I have this fear, I found a really wonderful dentist. He is calm, patient and kind. He has removed teeth and done my check ups. When you book, tell the receptionist your fear and stress that you need someone who will be empathetic. Don’t wait. Very best of luck
