MMR - not been invited for MMR yet, but local outbreak. Shall I job my 12 month old just in case?

I'm taking my for her pre-school booster MMR today. Nursery sent a note to say one of the children had had measles. Apparently outbreak in our local area.

Shall I ask for Ds (just turned 12 months) to have it? I get the impression they normally MMR at about 18months.

GP said "If he hasn't been directly exposed to measles, I'd say no reason to bring it forward"

Childminder said "He's likely to have good natural immunity from breastfeeding, and in days gone by everyone would have had measles. No real reason to panic"

DH says "Wouldn't it be better to do it in Spring, when fewer bugs around to overload his immune system"

And yet, I'm a little panicky not having him immunised with measles floating around... I just think 'deafness' 'brain damage' 'horrible long illness'.

Bring it forward, me and my DD's had measles this summer and it was awful I couldn't bear to think of anyone else suffering from it. 12 months is a standard age to have the jab. Also there are plenty of bugs around in spring such as chicken pox and slapped cheek so it's not a good reason to leave it until then.

how annoying - I was all set to do the little man's jabs - and I got a very grumpy nurse, who said she couldn't do two kids together (contradicting the front desk who originally said they wouldn't book two appointments, since we could get both kids jabbed in one).

Now have another fortnight wait before dragging both kids back out to the surgery. (harumphh)

Thanks for advice anyhow.
