My DD is 9 weeks old and BFeed. She hasnt been for a poo since friday last week! She doesnt seem herself, and is very gumpy and im pretty sure she is uncomfertible. I have rubbed her tum, given her a warm bath, feed her when she has wanted it but still no better.

Im planning to call health visitor in the morning. My dd1 suffered very badly with constapition for 4 years

Any ideas?

Tovik - what I meant was it would be worth speaking to a doctor before giving orange juice to a 9 week old baby who may simply be doing something pretty normal for a breastfed baby.
It is not the same as weaning IMO, as when you decide to wean your baby you wait until he or she seems hungry and ready for food.
The Dr would also be able to rule out whether something more serious was causing the problem.
Anyway, glad she pood! Honestly, this is surprisingly common in perfectly healthy babies, and has its upside (less nappies!)
