Any dentists around? Ds2 has a pink tooth.

It is in a baby tooth which has had a tiny hole in it. The dentist has been hoping it will fall out naturally, soon. He is 9. He is not in any pain but should I be worried?

It sounds as though there has been sufficient wear of the tooth to come pretty close to exposing the pulp (blood supply and nerve inside the tooth). This happens when a tooth is late in falling out. It isn't a problem but can occasionally be sensitive to temperature, sweetness and/or pressure. Chances are it will be out soon, only if it causes major discomfort will a dentist intervene. HTH.

Thanks for that - his teeth have always been perfect apart from this one, and yes all his teeth have been late in falling out. The dentist doesn't realise it is now pink but if he develops any pain I'll take him straight way.
