Had mine taken out in January. Had op in the morning and was home by lunchtime. Back to work after 3 days (in an office) and felt fine. 4 tiny scars (one in my belly button) and no pain at all. Very impressive.

It took a bit longer than that. My surgeon signed me off work for a month, so it's great if you can recover really quickly, you shouldn't feel under pressure.
My advice is to take the painkillers and eat lots of high fibre foods- for me apricots and shreddies and drink lots of fluids-peppermint tea is good .

Great news clifton....I'm retired so lucky not to have to return to work. Apricots a good call.
