My young adult DS has just called me. He had an accident this morning and has chipped about 1/4 f his lovely front tooth. I am so sad🤔

He’s got an emergency dental appointment this afternoon.

So what’s the experience of treatment? What is best fix? Is there any point to him holding onto the chip and taking it with him to his appointment? Does the nhs fix it or will it be private fees only? Any advice ?

Hold onto the chip! This happened to me on my back tooth and I had to pay (privately) for a crown. Most of the cost was from forming the bit that I flushed down the toilet. (500euros)

They will check if he damaged the root.

It'll be fine Flowers

My ds did the same, they built it up and you can't see the difference.

When you say built it up- do you mean a crown or is there another way, thanks

Amazing what they do at the dentists these days. As long as no nerve showing they can fix it.
