When I am at work and it gets busy and I have a lot too do I get a sudden wave of panic and feeling as if I can't cope and won't get the work done.
It doesn't last look just a few minutes and then it goes.
I don't know if it is anxiety or just a normal reaction. I returned to work 2 months ago after a long term illness and this has been happening maybe once or twice a week since then.

Do you find it difficult to breath? Are you breathing fast during this time?
Sounds like a panic attack

Yes I find it difficult to breath, I haven't noticed if my breathing goes faster I don't think it does. Its like a wave it just hits me.

There are a lot of good videos on YouTube on how to calm and focus when this is happening.
I carry rescue remedy around with me and if I can feel it coming I use this and it helps take the edge off.

It's good you are self aware enough to have noticed, well done. It's helpful to acknowledge it's happening, take a moment, and then crack on. It will subside as you get used to things again.

There are things you can do to help ground you, little focussing/calming exercises. You may well not need them, now you've spotted what's happening.
