What's going on with my mole?

My mole has become raised, sore to touch and red ring around the outside of it.

It’s always best to book a doctors appointment for mole changes, especially when they come on suddenly.

I’ve recently also had to have one checked which luckily was nothing but my doctor did advise that it’s always best to get moles checked sooner rather than later as if it is skin cancer, it’ll be easier to catch.

I know it's been a year but would be interested to know what this turned out to be. I've got something which looks the same in the same place! Thanks
