Citalopram withdrawal

I've recently 'weaned off' taking 20mg citalopram - I say this loosely, I took one every other day for a week then stopped. I know I should have carried on longer. My GP is aware I was weaning down.

I've always had ectopic beats for as long as I can remember but I seem to be getting them more frequently since I've stopped. I've now not taken any for around a week to 10 days. Has anyone had palpitations as a side effect of stopping taking antidepressants?

No but I kmow you can have all sorts of side effects coming off. Citalopram is known to lower sodium so it might be to do with this. Im weaning off and feel knackwred.

Be worth having it checked by your gp.
