Dear Tooth Fairy, is this the last time you'll visit dd1 or will her baby molars come out too?

I was wondering this too. DS1 hasn't lost any yet (he's 5) but I'd like to know if he loses all 20 or just the front ones.

She will lose all of her baby teeth!

Davidsmom · 24/11/2007 02:22

20 baby teeth come in and 20 baby teeth get wobbly fall, wiggle or get pulled out and tooth fairy comes to collect.

If 20 don't come in or fall out check with dentist why not.

I have still got bayy tooth that if recognised sooner could have been treated which would have saved many probs later on!

Davidsmom · 24/11/2007 02:23

sorry baby tooth!

Children have 20 baby teeth, all will be lost and replaced by permanent teeth. They will also get 4 more molars around 6/7 years (one in each corner). And another 4 molars around 11/13 years and the wisdom teeth come in 17/21 years which will give a total of 32 permanent teeth

Hope that helps

And yes, that does mean teething doesn't end til adulthood!

This is terrific, because it means that you can blame all of your child's moodiness and bad behviour on teething right up until the age of 21.

She will lose 20 teeth altogether. They lose all the deciduous teeth.

So a few more visits from the tooth fairy yet!
