Can the pharmacist help with an ear infection?

Does anyone know if a pharmacist can prescribe antibiotics?

I've caught a crappy cold/infection type thing off my two year old. She's got a chest infection so is on antibiotics for that but I've now got an ear infection. They're quite common for me. I normally go to my GP as I always get leaking fluid and lose my hearing (generally a burst ear drum) but with it being Sunday I was wondering if the pharmacist could help at all?

I don't think they can prescribe antibiotics sorry but if you ring your surgery it should advise you who to contact out of hours. Hope you feel better soon
