I've got a painful rash on my back very itchy and I feel like utter rubbish today

Is it on one side of your body? Shingles follows the line of a nerve and tends to be on one side

Yes it's on one side like in middle of my back on right side

If it is shingles you could maybe get antivirals to help shift it faster. Shingles can pass on chickenpox through contact with fluid from the blisters so keep the rash covered
