Spinal lesion...any experience?

After to-ing and fro-ing to the Dr's for some months I was finally sent for a thoracic mri in April.

My symptoms are neck, shoulder and back and rib pain.

They found a lesion. Currently not sure of its a cervical or thoracic lesion as the Dr told me cervical but the drs letter states lower thoracic (?)

They asked for a repeat mri within 3 months which I'm currently chasing as the Dr sent the referral (see above) but the hospital say they didn't receive it.

Referral has been re sent.

I had bloods done and they were "satisfsctory"

So...what could it be?

I've been convinced for many years that I've got some sort of auto immune issue going on...was dx with ME in 1996 and fibromyalgia after + ANA test in 2010.

No treatment for either.

What should I be asking for? Should I be seeing a specialist?

Many thanks x

My DH had a spinal lesion growing on a nerve & had to have it removed by a neurosurgeon. He recovered well although has some numbness connected to the nerve that was affected. There was wait for diagnosis (put down to normal back pain etc for months) & then for the operation itself but he took strong painkillers throughout that. It is worth chasing the MRI though because IF it is the same thing it may need to be removed before it causes any damage - his was slow growing. Try not to worry though he is fine now!
