I'm very worried about my DM. She's been told that her kidney function has dropped a lot since last year. She's been taking antibiotics for a long time for a chronic infection and her GP said that this can cause problems with kidney function. They've advised repeating the kidney function tests in 6 weeks but my DM is incredibly upset and worried.
I was just wondering whether anyone here (themselves or someone they know) has had lower kidney function associated with antibiotic use?
I know they'll check again, but 6 weeks fees like an incredibly long time right now and I'm really worried too.
I'd be very grateful if anyone with any experiences can tell me anything.
