I have this rash under my belly fold goes the entire length (yes I'm a bigger lady). Despite showering twice a day medicated talcum powder it's agony and hurts to stand up straight or bend over. Tried sudocrem
Thinking I need a drs appointment but would I be wasting their time? Many thanks

Have you tried an anti fungal cream?

AramintaArrowsmith · 15/06/2021 18:53

That'll probably be a fungal infection. Don't put any medicated powder on it - it goes 'grainy' with the sweat under there and it'll make it worse

Just wash as normal and Pat dry or cool setting on hairdryer. Get some proper cream from the doctors

I know how horrible it can be - I had a tummy tuck last year which solved it completely but drastic measures there I know!

Agree with pp
Stop using powder and the doctor can prescribe the right cream for you. You might need antibiotics if the doctor thinks it could be a skin infection.

Anti fungal cream is what you need.
Canesten or a dupe from your local pharmacy.

Yes,anti fungal is what you need. Clean towel every day too.

Dilbertian · 15/06/2021 19:37

Looks like thrush. Canesten cream twice a day should clear it up. Plus, of course, good hygiene with mild soap/shower gel and making sure it's properly dry before you dress.

Shouldn't take more than a week or two to clear up. Keep using the cream for a week after it's completely cleared up.

If it doesn't improve quickly or clear up completely within a couple of weeks, go to the GP.
