Shingles rash or just breakout?

Not itchy, feels rough to the touch, small whiteheads breakout

Shingles is more of a blistery rash like chicken pox. They look more like pimples

That's good to hear, thanks demented, I never get breakouts like this especially on my neck so I wasn't sure

I'm not a doctor but I have had shingles and it didn't look like that it was more red and angry looking with blotchy red patches surrounding the lumpy raised spots. So I would say looking at yours it's just a breakout.

If you squeeze them what comes out?
Shingles would be fluid and pimples would be more textured

Nothing, they just get raised and red if I squeeze them

Has a similar look to heat rash OP (given, one picture in a certain light...hard to tell).
Try to avoid using thick lotions that may clog your pores...maybe even your sunscreen should be checked. Try to swear loose clothing in a natural fabric. Avoid neck jewellery for a while.

Yes it's just on one side

Not been warm where I am this week so I haven't worn any sun lotion.

Anywhere on your body?

When I had shingles I had it on my face and stomach but all on the same side.

Just on my neck, I haven't noticed it anywhere else
