Rash on 15yr old

My 15yr old has come out in this rash.
It doesn't hurt, itch or in pain.
He had a runny nose and felt unwell last week.
Could it be shingles?

Will get a GP appt tomorrow.

Where is the rash?
Looks like hives

That doesn't look like shingles to me, I've had it three times and it normally comes up like blisters and even a as mild case I found was sure to touch. Looks like it could be hives. Or an allergic reaction

I have no idea what it is but it would be a wait and watch at this stage for me.

Its on his waist band. Goes from where his spine is to the right hand side.

Looks like pityriasis versicolour, doesn't look like shingles to me.

Is it itchy?

Nope not itchy.

He came downstairs saying mum there is something on my back that feels wierd. He doesn't know how long its been there but says he wouldn't have known it was there if he hadn't felt it with his hand.
